The Sarasota Sailing Squadron continues the tradition of the Stiletto Nationals by hosting the 5th annual Buzzelli Multihull Rendezvous with 32nd Stiletto Nationals on October 20-23, 2011.

In 2007, the Stiletto Nationals was reformatted to be open to all multihull sailboats and renamed after late Bob Buzzelli, avid multihull and Stiletto sailor.
The regatta has grown from a small fleet of Stilettos to a varied fleet on multiple courses. This year’s participants come from: Arizona, Alabama, California, Colorado, Dominican Republic, Georgia, Indiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Texas, Virginia, and all corners of Florida.
Fleets expected this year: Stiletto, Corsair, Formula, Hobie, Nacra, GCat, Windrider, Hobie Wave, Weta, ACat, and a variety of other multihulls.
Friday’s race was on the Gulf of Mexico with a fleet of 17 boats ranging from 35 to 14 feet. The fleet grew to 43 for races on Saturday and Sunday on Sarasota Bay with a big boat course and a small boat course.
